Domsohn leads Eagles to another victory

Zane Domsohn scored 24 points, including four 3-pointers, and Ryan Riotto pitched in 14 points, with four 3-pointers, as Bishop Shanahan topped West Chester Rustin, 74-62, in ChesMont League boys basketball action Monday night.

Cooper Jordan added 13 points, and Ryan Smyth had 10 points for the Eagles, who made 14 3-pointers as a team. Griffin Barrouk led all scorers with 27 points for Rustin, with seven 3-pointers, and Jacob Barksdale had 10 points inside for the Golden Knights while Jacob Barksdale added 10. DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 72, AVON GROVE 58 » Joe Belbin and Jude Milon had 16 points each and George Bousum had 15 for the Cougars (3-3, 3-4) in the ChesMont win. Vishal Suthakar had 11 and Connor Shanahan had 10 as five East players reached double figures. Milon’s 16 points were a career high, all while adding 11 rebounds. WEST CHESTER EAST 41, DOWNINGTOW­N WEST 34 » Jackson Kulp led the Vikings with 18 points and Jack Kushner added a dozen in the East victory. Dylan Blair led the Whippets with 11 points and Ryan Dever added eight.

WEST CHESTER HENDERSON 52, KENNETT 15 » Billy Wilson (126 pounds), Brett Batton (132), Palmer Delaney (145) and Owen McCarthy (189) all won via pin in the Warriors’ Ches-Mont win. Kennett’s Trent Kochersper­ger (138) won his bout via pin and Josh Kochersper­ger (160) and Bailey Shindle (heavyweigh­t) picked up the other Kennett points.

Unionville’s Riley Angstadt hit the biggest shot of the game, drilling a baseline jumper with 2.2 seconds to go for the last two of her team-high 13 points, while Milana Amoss had 11 points for the Longhorns. COATESVILL­E 42, AVON GROVE 21 » Junior Danae Ellzy and freshman Kaitlyn Ward led a balanced scoring attack with nine and eight points, respective­ly, in the Ches-Mont win. DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 74, DOWNINGTOW­N WEST 68 » Joe Belbin had a career-high 20 points and junior George Bousum had 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Cougars (2-3, 2-4) in the win. Ryan Dever had 22 points to lead the Whippets, while Sean Kaiser had 18 for West.
