Joseph “Joe” Felix Longo

Joseph “Joe” Felix Longo, 80, son of the late Lawrence and Jennie (nee Vernacchio) Longo, passed on to the Lord on Friday, March 12, 2021 following a lengthy illness. Joe leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Catherine “Cass” (née Hoyles) Longo; his son Joseph (Mary Pat); son Michael (Michelle); and daughter Susan (Mark) Foltz; his grandchildren Catherine Anne (Mike), Joseph, Erin, Jennie, Zoe, Kaden, Owen, Gwen, Markus, Thomas, and Alexis. He is also survived by his sister Geraldine Hadley; brother Lawrence (Sandy) Longo; sister-in-law Marianne (Ralph) Nocito; godchild Buddy Hoyles, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Joe graduated from Saint Thomas More High School and Villanova University. Recruited from Villanova, Joe worked as a CPA at Price Waterhouse before becoming CFO of Brandywine Sports Inc. in Wilmington, DE. He was also the CEO/owner of Yellow Cab and Airport Shuttle in Wilmington DE and a consultant for Six Plus Management, Inc. Joe will be remembered for his devotion to his faith, family, and community, as well as for his kind optimistic, and outgoing nature.
