West Chester man arrested in connection with selling cocaine
A West Chester man was arrested following a lengthy investigation into the sale of cocaine in the borough.
Abdul Ray, 43, of West Chester turned himself into West Chester police on March 25, police said, after a warrant was issued earlier for his arrest.
In November of 2019, the West Chester Police Department initiated an investigation into the sale of cocaine by Ray. As a result of this investigation, a warrant was issued for Ray.
Ray was arraigned in front of Judge Vito at District Court 15-1-04 and bail was set. Ray posted bail and a preliminary hearing was scheduled. The West Chester Police Department was assisted with this investigation by the West Goshen and Westtown East Goshen Police Departments.

THEFT OF SERVICES » On April 6, 2021 at 11 a.m., an unknown female entered the Oriental Nail Salon located at 698 E Market St, West Chester, and received a pedicure. After receiving the pedicure, the female left the store without paying and did not return. The woman is described as an older white female, wearing a black dress and white shoes. She is also seen wearing a white mask and carrying a brown bag. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the pictured female is asked to contact the West Chester Police Department at (610) 696-2700. TRESPASSING » On April 2 at 10:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to Superior Suds at 400 Hannum Avenue for the report of a trespasser.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the offender, David Sterling, 56, of West Chester. David Sterling has been previously banned from the above property. Sterling was taken into custody and transported to Chester County Prison for preliminary arraignment.
Oxford
SEX ASSAULT CHARGES » On April 2, 2021, The Oxford Borough Police arrested Miguel Zurita Martinez, 27, of Oxford for Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Statutory Sexual Assault, Unlawful Contact with a minor, and Corruption of Minors. The Oxford Police Department was assisted by Chester County Children Youth and Family, Chester County Detectives, and the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. Martinez is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail.
Westtown-East Goshen
FRAUD » On April 3, 2021 the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was contacted by a victim who stated that a credit check was done by an automotive dealership in Westtown Township without his knowledge or authorization. A quick investigation done by police
found that the victim’s identity was being fraudulently used to purchase a vehicle. Thomas Owen from Ansonia, Connecticut was arrested by police when he entered the dealership later in the day in order to complete the fraudulent purchase of the vehicle. Owen had identification cards in his possession that contained the victim’s personal information along with Owen’s picture at the time of arrest. Owen was arrested and transported to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail. DRIVING STOLEN CAR >> On March 27, 2021 at 10:55 p.m., David Jones was stopped southbound on Wilmington Pike operating a white 2005 Ford F450 cargo van for no illuminated tail lights. As a result of the investigation it was determined that the Ford cargo van being operated by Jones was stolen at the time of the traffic stop. Further investigation, determined that Jones arrived in the area in a second stolen Ford E250 van. A warrant was issued for David Lamont Jones for Theft by Unlawful taking, two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and related charges. Anyone knowing the whereabouts of David Lamont Jones is asked to contact Officer Lang at (610) 692-9600 Ext. 164. ASSAULT >> On March 21, 2021 the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was dispatched to the 1700 block of Valley Drive, East Goshen Township, for a disturbance. Patrol officers investigated the incident and discovered that Salvatore Oliver had struck the victim causing injury. As a result, Salvatore Oliver was arrested and charged pursuant to the Pennsylvania Crimes Code. Oliver was transported to the Chester County Prison pending arraignment.
Coatesville
WARRANT ARREST >> On Friday, April 2, 2021 at 4:52 p.m., Coatesville Police observed a man known to have active arrest warrants operating a dark colored Nissan on Walnut Street. Coatesville Police conducted a traffic on the Nissan sedan on Walnut Street at Virginia Avenue. The driver, Marquis Love of Coatesville, had two active warrants for his arrest from neighboring jurisdictions. Love was taken into custody without incident and Caln Township Police transported him to central booking at the Chester County Prison. WARRANT ARREST >> On April 3 at 8:21 p.m., police conducted a pedestrian stop with a man identified as Steven Moyer, 26, of the 900 block of Queen Street in Pottstown, in the 300 block of East Lincoln Highway. Moyer was found to have an active bench warrant for his arrest out of Berks County. Moyer was booked and transported to Chester County Prison.
