WEST CHESTER >> On April 28 you’ll have a chance to enjoy a restaurant fish diner and support a good cause, the St. Agnes Day Room.

Gadaleto’s Seafood Market will be hosting a “Pay What You Want Donation Dinner” event on Wednesday, April 28, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Gadaleto’s will provide a soup, appetizer and entrée in your meal, and in return you will be asked to bring in a check made out to “St. Agnes Day Room” in the denomination of your choice to help support our local community in need.

The menu includes your choice of Lobster Bisque or Maryland Crab soup, appetizers will be a choice of Lobster Mac and Cheese or Boom Boom Shrimp. Your entrée will consist of a choice of Fried Shrimp Platter, or Salmon with a lemon cream sauce and spinach.

Each meal will serve 4 to 5 people and the total cost of the meal is approximately $80. 100% of what you pay is going directly to the St. Agnes Dayroom. Starting this Sunday, April 18, orders will start to be taken, including time for pick up on Wednesday.

On the day of the event, please come at the designated order pick up time with a check in an envelope. The eatery will be donating all checks received directly to the church. If you wish to donate but not participate in the meal that would also be appreciated and you can drop off a check at any time before the event.

Proceeds will benefit the Day Room, an excellent resource for the less fortunate of the West Chester Area.

“The amount of people in need pains me, Andy I. Gadaleto said. “Just because businesses have started to reopen and people have been vaccinated does not mean need has gone down.

“The Day Room helps to provide meals, clothing, diapers and formula and health and wellness support as well as many other services. The Day Room serves anyone who comes in need of assistance.

A January fundraiser for the day room raised almost $18,000.

“With your participation, we hope to come close to making a dent in that number this time!” Gadaleto said. “My staff and I hope you can participate and do your part to take the burden off all the people experiencing food and financial insecurity in our local area.

“Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to your participation and hope you and your family enjoy the meal provided by Gadaleto’s to support the amazing St. Agnes Day room. Let’s lift up the community as one.”
