Man sought in sexual assaults

WEST CHESTER >> Police are investigat­ing two separate sexual assaults that occurred between midnight and 1 a.m. April 29.

Police say the assaults took place in the area of Matlack Street and Nields Street. In both incidents, the female victims reported being groped by an unknown Hispanic male.

Anyone with informatio­n is asked to contact the West Chester Police Criminal Investigat­ion Division.

Westtown-East Goshen

Theft of food On May 7 at 7:51 p.m., two people entered the Giant Food Store at 1393 Dilworthto­wn Crossing and loaded a cart full of merchandis­e. The two then left the store without paying for the items and were

last seen traveling north on Route 202 in a black Cadillac XTS. Anyone with informatio­n on the identity of the pair is asked to contact the Westtown East Goshen Police Department.

Parkesburg

Burglary Police are investigat­ing a reported burglary of the Parkesburg Post Office, occurring after closing on Monday. Police expect to make an arrest in the coming days. Evidence collected at the scene by detectives was used to help identify those responsibl­e. Robbery Police have charged Omere Nayshon Peoples with robbery and related offenses after he reportedly approached three adults walking along the 700 block of South Alley, brandished a firearm and demanded the contents of their pockets. He then fled on foot after one of the victims recognized and identified him by name. The defendant was apprehende­d by police a short distance from the scene along with a concealed loaded firearm recovered from his person. The defendant was remanded to the Chester County Prison after not posting bail set at $100,000. West Caln Police were in the area and assisted Parkesburg Police in the manhunt, capturing the subject blocks from the scene.
