Patricia Ann Rayburn, age 79 of West Chester, PA, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at her home surrounded by family.

She was the loving wife of the late Edward S. Rayburn, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. She is survived by her daughter, Patti Burt, and her husband, J. Todd Burt, in addition to her grandchild­ren, Danny and Macie Burt, her brother, Tom Loftus, and his wife, Deborah. She was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Pingatorie, and brother, John Loftus.

Born October 13, 1942 in West Chester, Pennsylvan­ia, she was the daughter of the late John Loftus and the late Charlotte Deemer Loftus.

Patricia grew up in Exton, PA and graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School in 1960. She continued on to graduate from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. Upon graduation, she

began her nursing career at the Memorial Hospital of Chester County. She later became the Director of Nursing at Paoli Memorial Hospital, while obtaining her BSN at Eastern College, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Furthering her education, she received her MScA at West Chester University. She became VP of Patient Services at Paoli Memorial Hospital in 1985, ultimately becoming the EVP of Operations. She finished her illustriou­s career at the Chester County Hospital as Chief Operating Officer in which she retired from in 2004.

Patricia served as a Board Member at Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM) for several years, an organizati­on that was very dear to her heart.

Pat’s love of cruising with her husband, Ed, took them on many travels across the world. She also loved vacations with her family to Avalon, New Jersey and Turks and Caicos. Pat loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 9:30 am - 10:45 am followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 am at DellaVecch­ia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. 410 North Church Street West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons may be made to Community Volunteers in Medicine- 300 Lawrence Dr. # B, West Chester, PA 19380
