Jean Davis Welsh

Jean Davis Welsh, 96, passed away peacefully on Friday May 6, 2022. Born in East Fallowfield Pa. March 17, 1926. She was the daughter of the late William and Maude Davis. Jean married her high school sweet heart the late J. Carl (Bud) Welsh with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of sons Michael (Chrissy) Welsh, Bruce (Joanne) Welsh and Timothy (Denise) Welsh, her 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by grandson Ryan J. Welsh. Jean enjoyed traveling to Bingo at various Fire Halls, playing Pinochle, Solitaire and Needle Pointing. Being the wife of the

Boy Scout Leader of Hopewell Troop 8 and mother to 3 scouts she was involved in countless camping, hiking and canoe trips for over 15 years. She was a homemaker who always put her family first, loved the family traditions of the holidays and cooking and baking for those events. She was a big fan of the Eagles and Phillies. Jean was a Den Mother, taught Sunday school classes and drove school bus for 8 years. She worked many years in Joanne’s and Chrissy’s businesses. A heartfelt thank you from the family to the wonderful staff at Harrison House where Jean lived for the past 5 years. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Bower Chapel, Hopewell Methodist Church on Wednesday May 25 at 11:00 a.m.
