VOTERS MAKE MIDTERM CHOICES
Pa. features high profile races in open seats for governor, U.S. Senate
Turnout was light at the C.F. Patton Middle School polling location Tuesday. Many of the Chester County races are uncontested, but three aren’t. In Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District, incumbent Democrat Chrissy Houlahan is uncontested, but on the Republican side, four candidates — Steve Fanelli, Regina Mauro, Guy Ciarrocchi and Ron Vogel — are vying to be the GOP candidate. For state House Representative in the 13th Legislative District, incumbent Republican John Lawrence is going up against newcomer Carmela Ciliberti of New London Township. For state House Representative in the 167th Legislative District, Republicans Gail Newman and Melissa Dicranian are vying for the chance to take on incumbent Democrat Kristine Howard, who is running unopposed in the primary. Polls closed at 8p.m., and mail-in ballots were not expected to be completely tabulated until late Wednesday.
