4 juveniles sought in connection with armed robbery in Coatesvill­e

COATESVILL­E » Police are looking for juveniles in connection to an armed robbery that took place May 16 in Coatesvill­e.

Police said that on May 16 at approximat­ely 8 p.m., a mother and her juvenile son came to the police station to make a report of an armed robbery. The juvenile stated that he was sitting in the area of South Fourth Avenue and Walnut Street, when four juveniles, wearing all black, ranging from the age of 15 to 17 approached him. One juvenile got on the victim’s bike and another juvenile approached the victim displaying a firearm from his pocket. The juveniles took the victim’s black bike with gold rims. The bike was valued at approximat­ely $1,000. Police are continuing the search for the fourarmed robbers.

Coatesvill­e WARRANT ARREST

On May 17 at 9:36 p.m., Coatesvill­e Police responded to the Marriott Hotel at 600 Manor Road for a verbal disturbanc­e between two men in the lobby. On arrival, police made contact with Joshua Meekes-Burk, 33, who was found to have two warrants for his arrest. Meekes-Burk was taken into custody without incident and held for constables.

West Chester DRUG CHARGES

In April 2021, the West Chester Police Department Narcotics Unit initiated an investigat­ion into the sale of cocaine. As a result of this investigat­ion, a warrant was issued for Alan Jeune, 27, from Philadelph­ia. On May 18, Jeune turned himself in to authoritie­s. Jeune was arraigned and released on $75,000 unsecured bail.

ASSAULT

On May 15, 2022, at 3:45 p.m., the West Chester Police Department received a complaint of an assault that occurred earlier in the day in the 300 block of East Marshall Street. Through

an investigat­ion, it was determined that the suspect, David Cruz, 36, from West Chester, assaulted the victim in a parking lot. The victim sustained injury as a result of the assault. At approximat­ely 6:45 p.m., Cruz turned himself in to the West Chester Police Department. Cruz was processed on charges of Simple Assault, Strangulat­ion, Recklessly Endangerin­g Another Person, and Harassment. Cruz was transporte­d to the Chester County Prison for arraignmen­t.

Southern Chester County Regional PFA VIOLATION

Jose L. Aguilera, 28, of Avondale, appeared at District Court Avondale in regards to the charges of Indirect Criminal Contempt of Court, Resisting Arrest, Simple Assault, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct, in connection with a call for a domestic. The incident occurred on Tuesday January 25, 2022 at 3:27 p.m., in the 200 block of First Avenue, in Avondale Borough. The victim told police that Aguilera had been at her residence, yelling and banging on the front door. Aguilera’s actions are a violation of the Protection from Abuse order the victim has against him. Aguilera fled the scene in a vehicle that was located by officers, a short time later, in the unit block of Roberts Way. Aguilera actively resisted officers, causing a leg injury to an officer. During the incident, Aguilera also continuall­y yelled profanitie­s in the presence of about 30 children. All charges were held over to the Chester County Court of Common Pleas for further process.

DOMESTIC

Roberto Schultz, 47, of Landenberg, was taken into custody and charged with Simple Assault, Reckless Endangerin­g Another Person, and Harassment, following a call for a domestic. The incident occurred on Thursday May 5, 2022 at 8:24 p.m., in the unit block of Southampto­n Parish Road, in New Garden Township. Contact was made with the victim, who had visible injuries to her arms and neck. She described a struggle with Schultz, over a knife he was going to harm himself with. Schultz also knocked her phone from her hand, in an attempt to keep her from calling for help. Schultz was taken into custody and transporte­d to the Chester County Prison for processing and arraignmen­t. He was released on bail.

FIREARMS CHARGES

Mario Ayllon, 25, of Wilmington Del., was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault; Carrying a Firearm without a license; Endangerin­g the Welfare of Children; Possessing Instrument­s of Crime; Stalking; Reckless Endangerin­g another Person; Simple Assault; and Harassment, following a complaint for a domestic. The incident occurred on Friday April 29, 2022 at 11:01 p.m., in the 300 block of Scarlett Road, in New Garden Township. The victim reported that Ayllon was following her in his vehicle, with a gun in his possession, and attempted to stop her by cutting her off in traffic and forcing her off the road. Ayllon also had in his vehicle at the time, a juvenile child. Ayllon was taken into custody and transporte­d to the Chester County Prison for processing and arraignmen­t. He was released on bail.

Oxford ASSAULT

On March 25, 2022 at 4:31 p.m., the Oxford police were dispatched to the 200 block of Commerce Street for a report of a disturbanc­e. Contact was made with a 14-year-old female who stated that Devon Scott, 18, of Oxford, and a 17-yearold female had assaulted her. Video evidence of the assault was made available to officers which matched the victims statements. Scott has been charged with the assault and is awaiting a preliminar­y hearing at Oxford District Court. The 17-yearold female has also been charged and has been referred to the Juvenile Courts.

WARRANT

On May 14 2022 at 7:40 p.m. the Oxford Police were asked to assist the Kennett Township Police Department by looking for a wanted subject in the 500 block of Park Street. Contact was made with the defendant, Silas Crossan, 59, of Oxford, who was confirmed to have a Misdemeano­r Criminal Warrant from the Kennett Township Police Department and a Felony Criminal Warrant from the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department. Crossan was taken into custody and transporte­d by Constables to Chester County Prison.
