Juice Pod West Chester opens up
WEST CHESTER >> It’s a family affair with the newly opened Juice Pod West Chester, at 14 N. Church St.
Along with their eight children, St. Agnes and Bishop Shanahan graduates, husband and wife team, Jeff and Janet Riccaro run a pair of restaurants in Downingtown and now West Chester. Even a grandmother helps out.
Daughter Romea Riccardo is the oldest child and a 23-year-old college student
at University of North Carolina. She works alongside her youngest sister, an 11-year-old.
“Being around my family every day is something not a lot of people get to do,” Romea said. “And it’s nice to serve West Chester with fresh, healthy options.”
Father Jeff Riccaro would agree.
“It almost feels like you are cheating, but you’re not,” he said about the goodies offered. “The business model is full of healthy options for people trying to eat better.
“It’s tasty.”
Juice Pod West Chester offers acai bowls, 27 different types of smoothies, 15 types of cold-pressed juices, paninis, salads and wraps, wellness shots, open bowls, chia pudding bowls, pitaya bowls and oatmeal bowls.
Jeff Riccaroo, a Downingtown resident, said he sought the perfect location.
“We always wanted to come to West Chester with a business—with the right opportunity for a great location,” he said.
The West Chester streets are busy.
“When it’s nice out the town is buzzing with people and they’re on the street constantly,” he said. “There are a ton of options in West Chester.
“Hopefully they’ll enjoy us. We have a hometown feeling and we’re not real generic.”
