PIELLI LOOKING TO MAKE A ‘POSITIVE CHANGE’

- By Bill Rettew wrettew@dailylocal.com

WEST GOSHEN—With his first month as a state Rep. behind him, Rep. Chris Pielli D156th, of West Goshen, said on Monday, that it is “an honor to represent the good folks of the 156th District.”

The new representative said he hopes to have an impact on both local and statewide levels.

“It’s wonderful to take part in a legislature that will hopefully have a positive outcome on the whole state,” Pielli said. “There are a lot of important issues facing us in the future.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of a positive change in Harrisburg.”

With the legislature not currently in session, Pielli states that he has used this time to connect and work hard for the residents of his district.

Pielli’s local district office, with three fulltime staffers, recently opened at 121 W. Miner St., Suite 1E.

Constituents can do everything from charging SEPTA Key Cards to applying for property rebates, and all other constituent services.

The East High School graduate said that a Republican constituent asked if the representative also served Republicans through his local office.

“Our shared history has shown that no matter what party affiliation their representative is, the good people of the 156th demand responsible government and social tolerance,” Pielli said.

“It is that understanding and sense of community that has helped us to be a shining example of opportunity, growth, and fellowship.”

Pielli enjoys going to work at the state capitol.

With amazing architecture, and history woven into it, it’s a gem,” Pielli said, ‘My advice to all constituents is to see this magnificent state capitol building.”

Pielli is one of 26 freshman Democrats in the House. His fellow representatives have gone out of their way to help and guide all the new representatives. Pielli was elected to a two-year term. “I look forward to continuing and improving upon all the wonderful things that make this district the best place to live and raise a family,” he said. “It’s a lot of responsibility, but I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

The local office for the 156th District is located at 121 W. Miner St., Suite 1E. Constituents may call 610-696-4990 or email the office at pahouse.net/pielli
