Robert Goff Bauer of Norris, TN formerly of Landenberg, PA and Red Bank, NJ passed on February 15, 2023, in Sandwich, NH following a brief illness.

Born in Red Bank, NJ on May 11, 1957. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic and shortly thereafter traveled cross-country to California with his dog Maggie, where he remained for approximat­ely two years. Upon his return, under the tutelage of his Uncle Roy, he joined IATSE Local 52, Queens, NY. After 17 years in the film industry, he went on to operate his own carpentry business in Landenberg, PA and then moved into corporate facilities management, retiring from Erickson Living, Maris Grove in January 2021. In June of 2021 Robert and his wife moved to Norris, TN where he could “fish every day of the year.” He will be best remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh and mischievou­s antics!

Predecease­d by parents Walter David Bauer and Dorothy Goff Bauer of Red Bank, NJ and his brother W. David Bauer Jr. of Rumson, NJ.

Robert is survived by his wife of 26 years, Rosemary Oates Bauer and his three children Megan B. Bauer (Richard Hodges) of Sandwich, NH, Christophe­r K. Bauer of Gray, ME, and Robert H. Bauer of College Station, TX. He is also survived by one spectacula­r grandchild, Harris Ridgely Hodges, and his sisters Gretchen Abernathy (Mel) of Dalton, GA, Heidi Pollard (Mike Campanella) of Oceanport, NJ, and sister-in-law Virginia Bauer, of Middletown, NJ. In addition, eleven nieces and nephews, and friends too numerous to count.

Mass will be celebrated on February 25 at 10am, at St. James Catholic Church, Red Bank, NJ followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Red Bank, NJ.
