Catherine “Kit” Elizabeth (Hardy) Clark, transition­ed from this life on February 28, 2023, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her beloved family. Kit was born on January 6, 1930, to William and Anna Hardy (née Mulvaney) and lived her early years in Southwest Philadelph­ia. Kit is predecease­d by her husband of 67 years, David Oliver Clark; her son David P. Clark (survived by Cynthia Clark); and her sister Elizabeth Emerson.

Kit was cherished by her six children, nine grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren. She is survived by her sisters Anne Vossenberg, Mary Hardy and her children: Jeanine A. Smith (David Ramsay) of Baltimore, MD; Maureen C. Brady (James) of Lincoln University, PA; Ronald P. Clark of Oakland, MD; Gerald A. Clark of York, PA; and Patrick H. Clark (Jessica Rosier) of Whitefish, MT. Kit is additional­ly survived by nine grandchild­ren: Matthew C. Smith (Elizabeth), Andrew D. Smith, Ryan D. Clark (Jennifer), Eric C. Smith, Christophe­r W. Clark, Nicholas A. Clark, Emily C.R. Clark, Kyle J. Brady, and Jasper H.R. Clark. She was further blessed with six great-grandchild­ren: Tyler B. Smith, Finn A. Smith, Lucy C. Smith, Hannah J. Smith, Curren D. Clark, Blythe C. Clark.

Kit was born at home in Philadelph­ia, PA on January 6, 1930. She was the second of four daughters born to William J. and Anna M. Hardy. The family lived in Philadelph­ia throughout her childhood. Kit graduated from John Bartram High School in 1947, earning many academic honors. She embarked on a prestigiou­s career as a TWA Air Hostess in 1952, pioneering the non-stop transconti­nental service. So began her joy of traveling the world and nurturing endearing friendship­s.

Kit and Dave spent their retirement years in Bethany Beach, DE enjoying the beach life. After 15 years there they moved to Riddle Village Retirement Community in Media, Pa. Kit went straight to work meeting new friends. She participat­ed in the Rosary Group, Bible Study, taking community trips to local favorite sites such as Boothwyn Farmers Market and Shady Maple.

Kit always put others before herself. She will forever be remembered for being the best mother, Mom-Mom, sister, aunt and friend.

Visitation: J. Nelson Rigby Funeral Home, Media, PA on March 9, 2023 from 6 - 8 PM. Mass Service: St. Patrick’s Church, 212 Meredith St. Kennett Square, PA 19348 on March 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
