Sara Jane Guth, 75, of Downingtown, PA, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Chester County Hospital. She was the adopted daughter of loving parents, Charles David Guth and Dorothy Guth Roussey. She was a graduate of Scott Senior High School in Coatesville, PA and a graduate of Goldy-Beacom College in Wilmington, DE. She was married for seven years to John Musika.

Sara had a long career as an executive secretary for several different companies, including Air Products Inc. in Trexlertown, PA. Sara was an avid antique collector and a gifted crafter. She learned to play the piano at a young age and played the flute in the Scott High School band. As a toddler, she attended Ebeneezer Mennonite Church in Bethlehem, PA where her father taught Sunday School. Her family moved to Coatesville when she was five years old. Sara then attended and became a member of Coatesville Presbyterian Church, now Coatesville Bible Fellowship. In her later years, Sara relied on her faith for solace. Sara used to say that her claim to fame was kissing Richard Dawson on Family Feud when she, her mother, brother, sister-in-law, and sister traveled to California to be on the game show.

Sara is survived by a sister, Rebecca Falbo (Mark) of Bath, Maine, a niece, Susan Smith (Matt) of New Bern, North Carolina, niece Chelsea Hilding of Greensboro, North Carolina, nephew Jake Hilding of Brunswick, Maine, two grandnieces, Joelle and Emma Smith of New Bern, North Carolina, stepbrothers Kenneth Roussey, Jr. (Lynn) of Silver Spring, Maryland, and Robert Roussey of Wexler, Pennsylvania. Sara was predeceased by her parents, nephew Charles Paul Guth, brother John Guth, sister-in-law Edienne Jordan Guth and stepfather Kenneth Roussey, Sr.

The family would like to thank Janis Mercer Dagger of Mt. Airy, Maryland, and Steven Lehr of Elverson, Pennsylvania for their long-term friendship and support of Sara.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers or contributions, the family would like you to hug your families and hold them close.
