S&T Bank fundraiser will support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
‘Share a Smile Day’ fundraiser will be held at branch locations March 1
Friday, March 1 is Share a Smile Day — a day that encourages people to be a little bit more joyful.
To celebrate the day, S&T Bank is teaming up with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and will host a special fundraising event to benefit CHOP.
S&T’s 21 branches in central and southeastern Pennsylvania — which includes Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster and Philadelphia counties — will set up fundraising tables outside each branch, to raise funds for CHOP. S&T Bank has 11 branches in Chester County, one branch in Delaware County, three branches in Lancaster County and two branches in Philadelphia County.
Donations can be made in-person or online, the bank said in press release.
During the day Friday, S&T team members will be distributing handouts that can be written on to display donor names and/or their special dedications. In addition, bank employees will have the opportunity to purchase Share a Smile Day T-shirts, with proceeds benefiting CHOP.
The fundraiser supports S&T Bank’s mission to continue its “meaningful and impactful” community involvement efforts, according to the press release.
“S&T Bank strives to always make people our purpose and improve the lives of all individuals in the communities we serve,” Jason Forman, S&T’s director of consumer banking, said in a statement. “This effort to support CHOP is special to S&T because we get to make a difference in the lives of young people.”
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is a non-profit hospital and depends on philanthropic partners to be able to provide vital care to children and support to their families in their greatest time of need.
“Having a partner like S&T Bank come together for a donation drive for CHOP is a powerful statement to the impact that collaboration and generosity can have on the lives of those in need,” Bridget Welz, CHOP’s senior associate director, retail cause marketing, said in a statement. “The support of S&T and their customers not only brings hope and healing to the children and families in our care, but also serves as a shining example of compassion and community spirit for others to follow.”
