Patricia Moriarty Gallagher, 93, passed away on March 23, 2024. She was born on October 12, 1930, in Philadelph­ia, PA to the late Francis X. and Anne O’Donnell Moriarty. Patricia was a long-time resident of Malvern, PA, and had a deep love for caring for her friends and family. Being the second oldest of 10 children, Patricia grew up as a caretaker at heart, a trait that she carried throughout her life as she nurtured relationsh­ips with those family members and friends, she held dear. In her profession­al life, Patricia worked for many years as an administra­tive assistant with AmeriGas. In her free time, she found joy in quilting and was an active member of several quilting clubs. She was also a dedicated member of the Malvern Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary for many years.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Joseph E. Gallagher, daughter Patricia Boyce, grandchild­ren Anastasia Mattocks (Steven) and Sara DeHaven, and great-grandchild­ren Alekzander, Jaxon, and Aria. She is also survived by her sister Mary Lou Chappell (John) and brothers Michael Moriarty and Timothy Moriarty, along with many cherished nieces and nephews. Patricia is predecease­d by her first husband Ferdinand Boyce Jr., her sisters Martha Darpino (the late Joseph), Virginia Swinehart, Annabelle Braccia (the late Nicholas), and Catherine Venezia (the late Leonard Sr.), and brothers Frank “Sonny” Moriarty (the late Kate) and John Moriarty (the late Patricia).

Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia’s Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, 104 Channing Ave, Malvern, PA 19355. Visitation will be held prior to the Mass from 10:00-11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Philadelph­ia Memorial Park Frazer, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributi­ons can be made in Patricia’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Associatio­n, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
