GAME RECAP: RANGERS 4, DODGERS 3

THE GAME: RHP Walker Buehler gave up two home runs and four runs in the first three innings as the Dodgers lost 4-3 to the Texas Rangers in an eight-inning game at Surprise Stadium on Sunday afternoon. PITCHING REPORT: RHP Buehler gave up a lot of loud contact during his second spring start. He gave up a solo home run to Joey Gallo and a two-run home run to Rougned Odor in the first inning then back-to-back doubles to Delino DeShields and Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the second inning. All of the runs came with two outs in the inning. Buehler retired the side in order in his third and final inning. ... RHP Kenley Jansen worked around a single and stolen base in his second scoreless inning of the spring. Jansen touched 91 mph on the stadium radar gun once, 90 mph three times. ... LHPs Victor Gonzalez and Garrett Cleavinger pitched a scoreless inning each. Cleavinger gave up a single but struck out two.

... RHP Dennis Santana retired the side in order in the seventh inning. He has given up just one hit while striking out three in three innings this spring.

HITTING REPORT: DJ Peters hit his second home run of the spring. The outfielder prospect is 4 for 9 this spring. ... Gavin Lux was 1 for 3 with a double. It was his first extra-base hit of the spring but he is 5 for 11 in Cactus League action.

... Sheldon Neuse drove in the Dodgers’ first run of the game with an RBI single in the fifth inning.
