Upscale restaurant set to join mall
Pinstripes signs to be part of the expansion at Westfield Topanga site in 2022
A new restaurant will open at Westfield Topanga’s expansion as part of a transformation of the former Sears building in Canoga Park.
Pinstripes, a dining and entertainment complex combining Italian and American cuisine with bowling, bocce and private event banquet space, will be a part of the 180,000-square-foot expansion at the mall, which is under construction. The restaurant is set to open in 2022.
“As demand once again increases for places to gather — for business and pleasure — we look forward to introducing concepts like Pinstripes to our premier destinations, and providing new opportunities for our guests to shop, dine, work and play,” said Colin Shaughnessy, executive vice president of U.S. leasing at URW, in a statement.
Construction of the former Sears building at the corner of Victory and Topanga Canyon Boulevard started last year as a part of a plan by the Paris-based mall owner to transform the 160,000-square-foot property into an entertainment district with upscale boutiques, an AMC Theater and outdoor restaurants. Retailer Hermès recently signed a lease with the mall owner and is expected to open in 2023.
“Our iconic venues feed the souls of our guests, young and old, and are yearned for more than ever in this post-COVID environment,” said Dale Schwartz, founder and CEO of Pinstripes, in a statement. “We look forward to creating extraordinary, magical connections in these two communities — from the first strike to the first bite, to the first kiss, to the first laugh — that bring out the best in everyone.”
