Memphis snaps No. 6 Houston's home winning streak at 37

Landers Nolley II scored 20 points and Jalen Duren had 14 points and 11 rebounds as Memphis rallied past No. 6 Houston 69-59 on Saturday and snapped the Cougars' 37-game home win streak.

DeAndre Williams and Lester Quinones each scored 13 points as the Tigers (14-8, 8-4 American) won their fifth straight.

“Obviously, there was a lot of emotion coming in and after the game, I'm just excited, happy,” Duren said. “I know it was a big game for us.”

Houston also lost its second straight after a 12-game win streak. It's the first time Houston has lost consecutiv­e games since January 2017, when they lost three in a row.

Memphis coach Penny Hardaway called the victory his most vindicated because of Houston's win streak and national ranking.

“We came in locked and focused all week,” Hardaway said. “I was trying to keep the guys focused on Tulane, but I could tell they were antsy to get to this game because Houston has been the standard in our league.”

Fabian White Jr. and Taze Moore each had 15 points, and Jamal Shead added 12 points for Houston (20-4, 9-2).

Flagler had 20 points with four 3-pointers and 10thranked Baylor (21-4, 9-3 Big 12), after losing big man Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua to a left knee injury, went on to beat Texas (18-7, 7-4) in Waco, Texas. James Akinjo added 15 points with 7 assists and 6 rebounds for the Bears.

Kessler had a tripledoub­le with 12 blocked shots, 12 points and 11 rebounds as the host Tigers (22-3, 11-1 SEC) bounced back from a loss. The Aggies (15-10, 4-8) dropped their eighth straight game.

Timme scored 25 points as the Bulldogs (21-2) routed the Gaels (20-6) in Spokane, Wash.

Bennedict Mathurin scored 25 points, Azuolas Tubelis added 21 points and 10 rebounds, and the Wildcats (22-2, 12-1 Pac-12) overcame a sluggish start to rout the host Huskies (13-10, 8-5).

Oscar Tshiebwe scored 27 points and had 19 rebounds to lead the host Wildcats (21-4, 10-2 Southeaste­rn) past the Gators (16-9, 6-6).

Paolo Banchero had 16 points and 14 rebounds and the Blue Devils (21-4, 11-3 Atlantic Coast) pulled away at Boston College (9-14, 4-9).

Jalen Wilson had 22 points as the host Jayhawks (20-4, 9-2 Big 12) used a late run to hold on against the Sooners (14-11, 4-8).

Shannon scored 20 points and the Red Raiders (19-6, 8-4 Big 12) beat TCU (16-6, 5-5) after overcoming a 13-point deficit to remain undefeated (15-0) at home.

Jared Bynum scored 26 points off the bench and Al Durham and Nate Watson finished with 16 points apiece as the Friars (21-2, 11-1 Big East) held off visiting DePaul (12-11, 3-10).

Ron Harper Jr. scored 21 points as Rutgers (15-9, 9-5 Big Ten) downed a ranked team for the third straight game and fourth time this season, a school record. Tyler Wahl scored a career-high 23 points for Wisconsin.

Moore scored 14 of his 16 points in the second half as the host Wildcats (19-6, 12-3 Big East) rallied from a seven-point deficit to beat the Pirates (15-8, 6-7).

E. J. Liddell had 26 points and the Buckeyes (15-6, 8-4 Big Ten) beat the host Wolverines (13-10, 7-6), playing their third game in five days.

Malik Hall scored 18 points and Tyson Walker came off the bench to add 15 as the host Spartans (18-6, 9-4 Big Ten) beat the Hoosiers (16-8, 7-7 Big Ten).

Bryce Golden scored a careerhigh 22 points and Bo Hodges added 11 points and 11 rebounds to help the Bulldogs (12-13, 5-9 Big East) hold on and stun the Golden Eagles (16-9, 8-6) in Indianapol­is.

Zakai Zeigler came off the bench to score 16 points to lead the host Volunteers (18-6, 9-3 SEC) over the Commodores (13-11, 5-7).

Tevin Brown made a go-ahead layup with 16 seconds left and KJ Williams added two free throws 12 seconds later as Murray State (24-2, 14-0 Ohio Valley) rallied past host Morehead State (19-8, 11-3).

Jordan Shepherd scored a career-high 33 points and the Bears (11-15, 4-11) earned their first win in Eugene and the Pac-12's biggest upset of the season. The Ducks are 16-7, 9-3.

Bryce Pope had 22 points and Jace Roquemore finished one rebound shy of a triple-double as UC San Diego (11-12) easily defeated visiting UC Riverside (12-9).
