Spending decisions

Daily Press (Sunday) - - Local News -

I’d like to comment on the article about the money we’re spending on the aquatic center and now the proposal for the air park. We need to spend some money on our neighborhoods and get them cleaned up and do something about the litter problem we have and get our citizens involved in taking care of their homes and their yards and raking their leaves so that they don’t clog the drains and flood the streets.

Editor: In almost every aspect of life, there’s someone who will disagree with a decision you’ve made. I know that’s true of the news business, and I am certain that’s true when it comes to city initiatives. So let me get on my soapbox today and make a little plug for democracy. While I appreciate you sharing your opinion for Feedback, the best way to share your thoughts about what government does it to attend public meetings, send notes to your public officials and show up at the polls to vote. Then you can be certain your voice will be heard by the people who make decisions in your community.
