2-3 p.m. Sunday at Paradise Creek Nature Park,1141Victory Blvd., Portsmouth. Learn how to identify some of the native trees with Byron Carmean of Virginia Big Trees. Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners are offering free pruning consultations in the yards of James City County and City of Williamsburg residents. During these sessions, teams of two to four VCE Master Gardeners will provide hands-on training to help homeowners maintain healthy ornamental shrubs and small trees. Two or three neighbors may request a session together at one of the homes in their area.
