Crash kills man in New Kent County

A Williamsburg man died Friday afternoon in a fatal crash in New Kent County, police said.

Lynn John Maltinsky, 66, was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup west on Interstate 64 at the 216 mile marker, according to a news release from Virginia State Police.

Around1:30 p.m., the truck ran off the left side of the interstate, up the median embankment and struck several trees, officials said.

Maltinsky, who was wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

The crash is under investigation and police did not release any more information.
