Titans back at facility after negative tests
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — After receiving zero positive tests for two consecutive days, the Tennessee Titans returned to their facility Saturday.
It was a welcomed break for the Titans (3-0) after experiencing an outbreak and then the investigation into possible protocol and procedure violations launched by the NFL and NFL Players Association. According to coach Mike Vrabel, the Titans have fully cooperated and they are awaiting the results.
Safety Kevin Byard said he has been taking mental notes about things being said about the Titans by the media.
“To see a lot of the comments that I've seen around the league, I took note of that. It's definitely going to motivate me for sure,” he said.
New England coach Bill Belichick said quarterback Cam Newton and cornerback Stephon Gilmore wouldn't practice Saturday, and he deflected questions about who will start Monday against Denver if Newton isn't available.
The Patriots reopened their facility Saturday after having worked virtually Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Newton, Gilmore and practice-squad defensive tackle
Bill Murray, a former William & Mary standout, remain on New England's reserve/COVID-19 list.
