Character matters
I am both pro-life and pro-choice.
Many fellow Christians have indicated that a person cannot be Christian if he does not vote for President Donald Trump.I remember that character was one of the main issues that Republicans used against former President Bill Clinton while pushing for his removal from office.
Now these same Republicans say that character does not matter.
May I suggest that Trump is the model for corruption, immorality, indecency and vulgarity.
Republicans who have always proclaimed to be about family values cannot say that a Trump rally is family-friendly. More than 500 children may never be reunited with their parents after the forced separation of families at the border.
Trump has made decisions that may have cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens.
When circumstances cause a family to make a tough decision about whether or not abortion may be appropriate medically or otherwise, the effects of such a choice fall mainly on that family unit.
The unnecessary loss of an already living and thriving human life affects people beyond the immediate family.
His statement, “I alone can fix it,” tells you all you need to know about his relationship with a living God.
His disdain for military leadership, medical experts, and academic professionals is telling.
His attachment to fringe groups and conspiracy theories is problematic.
His maniacal hostility toward the opposition party and the free press is unhealthy. .My prayer is for an America that strives to live up to the ideals that were established at its founding.
