Bills TE Knox tests positive for virus

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox has tested positive for the coronaviru­s and will miss today’s road game against the New York Jets.

The team said Saturday he was placed on the reserve/ COVID-19 list along with three players in close contact with Knox — Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeney (on the PUP list) and Nate Becker (on the practice squad).

The Bills traveled as scheduled Saturday afternoon and continued preparatio­ns for the Jets.

The Los Angeles Chargers activated defensive end Melvin Ingram (knee) from injured reserve.

Chicago Bears linebacker Khalil Mack (back) was limited in Saturday’s practice and listed as questionab­le to face the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

The San Francisco 49ers placed running back Raheem Mostert on injured reserve and activated safeties Johnathan Cyprien and Jared Mayden from the practice squad.

Jets rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims is on track to make his NFL debut today against Buffalo after New York activated him from injured reserve. The second-round pick out of Baylor had been sidelined since training camp with hamstring injuries.

The Denver Broncos activated cornerback A.J. Bouye along with defensive ends Dre’Mont Jones and DeMarcus Walker off injured reserve Saturday.

The Jacksonvil­le Jaguars placed running back Chris Thompson on the COVID-19 reserve list and activated running back Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) from the reserve/injured-designated for return list.
