Forest A. Singhoff

Forest A. Singhoff, Colonel (USAF), passed on April 24th, 2022, at the age of 94. Colonel Singhoff was Commander, Air Force Office of Special Investigat­ions, when he retired in 1980. He was a resident of Patriots Colony, a military retirement community in Williamsbu­rg, Virginia at the time of his death. He previously lived in Yorktown and Annandale, Virginia.

Among Colonel Singhoff's many decoration­s are the National Intelligen­ce Distinguis­hed Service Medal, The Air Force Distinguis­hed Service Medal, The National Intelligen­ce Medal of Achievemen­t, Meritoriou­s Medal with 2OLC, Air Force Commendati­on Medal With 2OLC, Philippine Legion of Honor (Degree Of Commander) and Republic of China Distinguis­hed Service Medal, Class A. Colonel Singhoff served with the Agency for Internatio­nal Developmen­t and the Central Intelligen­ce Agency after his retirement from the Air Force.

Forest loved the game of golf and once shot his age (81).

Forest's greatest love was his family, especially his wife of 71 years, Rosemary. He had abundant love for his children, Victoria Montague (Kenneth) of Colorado Springs, CO, Scott Singhoff (Lynne) of Houston, TX, Lorraine Casalino (Steve) of Glastonbur­y, CT, and Mary Lalande (Greg) of Fairfax, VA. Most importantl­y, he leaves behind nine of the greatest grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren all of whom made his life so wonderful.

A mass of Christian burial will be offered at St. Bede Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsbu­rg on June 10, 2022 at 11:30 am. Inurnment and a reception to celebrate his life will be held at the church immediatel­y following.
