EDWARD "JIM" JENNINGS CROW, JR.

-

CROW, Edward Jennings “Jim”, 84, went to be with

the lord on April 23, 2022. He was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi. In 1967, Jim moved to Virginia to begin his career as an Electrical Engineer at Newport News Shipyard after attending the University of Mississippi and proudly serving in the United

States Marine Corps. Alongside his wife, he loved to travel and explore new places, both here in the United States and abroad. As a husband, father, and grandfather,

Jim had a strong devotion to his family. He loved the water; beach, lake, river and swimming pool and always looked forward to his annual family vacations at Nags Head. He loved his four-legged family, especially his Shelties, and often joked that he married Katrine to gain ownership of her cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Crow, Sr. and Katherine Inez Crow. He leaves on this earthly home his loving wife of fiftytwo years, Katrine Kincannon Crow; his three daughters, Kathy E. Crow (David Fitt), Kristy C. Packett (Marion James Packett), and Kari A. Egnot (Gregory Egnot); and five granddaughters, Kayla A. Egnot, Lindsey E. Egnot, Emma K. Packett, Sadie J. Packett, and Mary-Michael Hardy. He was very proud of and loved “his girls”. Jim could always count on coffee and great conversation with his dear friends Bob and Ann Berrier.

The family would like to acknowledge the amazing health care workers that cared so deeply for Dad during his last weeks.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 2:30 pm at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wise County Animal Rescue Coalition (ARC)
