Wight sparks William & Mary men past Army
Ben Wight had 21 points and nine rebounds as William & Mary defeated Army 76-67 Saturday as part of the Tribe’s multi-team event at Kaplan Arena.
Chris Mann scored 17 for the Black Knights (2-2).
A 14-1 run in the second half gave the Tribe a 55-55 lead, and W&M remained on top.
Anders Nelson had 14 points and six assists for W&M.
Christopher Newport 81, Susquehanna 57: Trey Barber scored 15 points and Jahn Hines added 13 as CNU, ranked fourth in Division III, captured the Susquehanna Tip-Off Tournament championship in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
Matthew Brodie and Ian Anderson added 10 points each for the Captains (4-0).
Virginia Wesleyan 79, North Carolina Wesleyan 70: Amarion Wilson scored 22 points and Omari Deveaux added 16 as the Marlins won at home to improve to 4-0.

North Carolina State 74, Elon 63: Jack Clark scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Dusan Mahorcic had nine points and 14 rebounds and North Carolina State (4-0) won at home.

No. 21 Dayton 60, Robert Morris 51: DaRon Holmes II scored 18 points and host Dayton shook off a loss at unranked UNLV with a victory over cold-shooting Robert Morris.
Mustapha Amzil came off the bench to add 12 points for the Flyers (3-1).
WOMEN
Marquette 68, No. 3 Texas 61: Jordan King scored 17 of her 25 points after halftime while Marquette held third-ranked Texas to 31% shooting to beat the Longhorns in the first round of the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.
The Golden Eagles led by 13 in the third quarter, then held on when the Longhorns twice pushed to within a single point. Sonya Morris scored 13 points to lead Texas, which again played without star Rori Harmon due to injury.

Christopher Newport 85, Washington and Lee 84 (OT): Christopher Newport erased an eight-point deficit in the last four minutes of regulation and edged Washington and Lee in overtime in the first round of Susquehanna’s tournament in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.
Jahn Hines had 26 points for the Captains (3-0), ranked fourth in Division III.
Rodney Graves scored eight of his 21 points in overtime for CNU, and Matt Brodie added 20 — half of which came late in regulation. The Captains outscored the Generals (2-1) by 15 points from
3-point range, enabling CNU to survive 7-of-15 free-throw shooting.

Longwood 90, VMI 58:
Nate Lliteras’ 21 points and Green Run High product DeShaun Wade’s 18 guided the Lancers (2-2) over the Keydets (1-3) in Farmville. Tyler Houser and Tony Felder scored 10 each for VMI.
Southern Mississippi 76, Liberty 72: Austin Crowley’s 25 points and three steals for the Golden Eagles (4-0) win in Lynchburg. Felipe Haase had 23 points, eight rebounds and three steals. ACC
No. 7 Duke 92, Delaware 58: Kyle Filipowski led Duke (3-1) with 18 points in the Blue Devils’ home victory. Filipowski made 7 of 13 shots and also had eight rebounds, and Tyrese Proctor added 13 points and 10 rebounds for his first college double-double.

Colin Castleton scored 19 of his 25 points in the second half and Florida overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to win in Tallahassee, improving to 3-1 under first-year coach Todd Golden.
Wake Forest 75, La Salle 63: Tyree Appleby scored 23 points for the second straight game, Damari Monsanto had four 3-pointers and 14 points, and Wake Forest won a first-round game in the Jamaica Classic at Montego Bay.
Clemson 76, Bellarmine 66: Chase Hunter hit 5 of 6 from 3-point range and finished with 15 points and eight assists, Ian Schieffelin scored 11 of his 13 points in the final eight minutes, and host Clemson (3-1) held on to beat the Knights (2-2).
Notre Dame 66, Lipscomb 65: Dane Goodwin scored 24 points and buried a go-ahead 3-pointer with 14 seconds remaining for the Irish (4-0) against the Bisons (2-2) in South Bend, Indiana.
Boston College 71, George Mason 56:
Makai Ashton-Langford scored 17 points, CJ Penha Jr. added 11 points and eight rebounds and BC (3-1) won a firstround game at the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, taking a 47-21 halftime lead. Victor Bailey Jr. led George Mason (2-2) with 15 points.

Jalen Wilson scored a career-high 33 points and Kansas (4-0) survived a letdown at home.
Wilson set a career best for a second straight game after scoring 25 points in the Jayhawks’ 69-64 win over No. 7 Duke in Indianapolis three nights earlier. The Thunderbirds (3-2) didn’t figure to provide as tough a challenge, but they hung with Kansas until the final minute at Allen Fieldhouse.
No. 19 Illinois 79, No. 8 UCLA 70: The Illini (4-0) rallied from a 15-point deficit to advance to Sunday’s final against No. 16 Virginia at the Continental Tire Main Event in Las Vegas.
No. 12 Indiana 81, Xavier 79: Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 30 points, Xavier Johnson had 23, and Indiana (3-0) endured a late rally by the Musketeers (3-1) in Cincinnati.
No. 13 Auburn 72, Texas Southern 56: K.D. Johnson scored 16 points, Jaylin Williams and Chris Moore both had 14, and the hosts (4-0) won a clash of Tigers.
No. 18 Alabama 104, Jacksonville State 62: Brandon Miller continued a dominant freshman campaign with 28 points, eight rebounds, three assists and a block for the Crimson Tide (4-0) in Tuscaloosa. Miller shot 9 for 12 from the floor and made seven of his nine 3-point attempts in 25 minutes.

Junior Adama Sanogo scored 24 points and sophomore Jordan Hawkins returned from concussion protocol to add a career-high 20 points for the unbeaten Huskies (4-0) in Storrs, Connecticut. Hawkins was 5 of 8 on 3-pointers.
