CMSgt Harry R. Dollarhide, USAF, Retired, of Kill Devil Hills, NC passed away on October 4, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born on December 6, 1943, in Portland, OR, to his loving parents, Harry and Lucille Dollarhide.

Harry dedicated 26 years of his life to serving his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Throughout his military career, he had the opportunit­y to travel the world, representi­ng the United States with unwavering commitment and dedication. After retiring from the Air Force, Harry embarked on a new career in civil service. One of Harry's passions was traveling, and after he and his beloved wife Joan moved to the Outer Banks, they continued to explore new destinatio­ns together. Additional­ly, Harry found fulfillmen­t in giving back to his community. He selflessly volunteere­d at the Wright Brothers National Memorial and Meals on Wheels, making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Harry was an active member of the Gold Wing Associatio­n, where he held various officer positions. His involvemen­t in the associatio­n showcased his strong sense of camaraderi­e and his eagerness to serve others.

Surviving Harry is his devoted wife, Joan Dollarhide, with whom he shared 35 wonderful years. He also leaves behind two sons, Harry Richard Dollarhide, Jr. (Carol) and Kenny Dollarhide (Annie), as well as a daughter, Denise Dollarhide. Harry will be greatly missed by his eight grandchild­ren and five great-grandchild­ren.

Harry's presence influenced the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
