VDOT advisory radio returns at 1680 AM

The Virginia Department of Transportation’s Virginia Highway Advisory Radio has made a comeback. It is back on the air at 1680 AM to deliver traffic information. In total, the radio was offline an hour short of two days.

■ George Flowe: It was plain common sense. Unfortunately government and common sense rarely go together.

■ Teresa Paris Dickson: Good! I use it daily on my drive from Yorktown to Virginia Beach and back.

■ Ron Weaver: Fine, I use it. But now you can’t hear it like you used to. A background station overrides it.
