IT’S ELECTION DAY. VOTE!
Virginia’s off-off year elections are today, and voters will see state House and Senate candidates on their ballots, as well as some local government, school board and constitutional officers such as sheriffs, treasurers and clerks of court.
Polling places
Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re in line at 7 p.m., you’re still allowed to vote. Go to vote.elections.virginia.gov to find your polling place.
Identification
Virginia law requires a photo ID to vote. Acceptable forms of ID include a driver’s license, DMVissued state photo ID, a U.S. passport, an employer-issued photo ID, a school ID or another government-issued photo ID. You can also go to your local voter registration office for a free voter photo ID.
