Fields and Jones lead Radford in bid for title

Predicted order of finish as voted upon by coaches and media members:

The Highlander­s return two double-figure scorers in guards Carlik Jones (15.7 ppg) and Travis Fields (10.8 ppg) from Norcom High in Portsmouth.

Sophomore wing Jose Perez (15.1 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 3 apg) is one of the Big South’s most complete players.

The Eagles, who led the nation with 12.4 3-pointers a game, return forward Josh Ferguson (11.1 ppg, 7.3 rpg).

Guard Jermaine Marrow (24.4 ppg) was second in the Big South and eighth nationally in scoring last season.

Guard Phlandrous Fleming (12.5 ppg) is the Bucs’ top returning scorer and one of three starters back.

Lorenzo “Shabooty” Phillips (14 ppg, 3.8 apg) led the Big South in free-throw percentage at .890.

The Camels begin a new chapter after the departure of guard Chris Clemons, the nation’s scoring leader last season.

Sophomore Curtis Holland (7.4 ppg, 1.2 apg) is the only returning starter for Tubby Smith’s Panthers.

Guard Devon Baker (16.1 ppg, 3 apg) was the highest-scoring freshman in the Big South last season.

Guard J.C. Younger (9.6 ppg) and F Cory Hightower (9.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg) are the top returning scorers.

The Spartans return G Everette Hammond (7.3 ppg) and C Nevin Zink (6 ppg, 4 rpg) to the starting lineup.
