Body found in trees behind Tabb Library in York County

Officials found body Monday afternoon

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found Monday afternoon in the tree line behind the Tabb Library.

In a video on its Facebook page, the sheriff’s office said it was called about a suspicious incident in the 100 block of Long

Green Boulevard.

Deputies found the body shortly after they arrived.

The office did not provide information about the body, but it asked anyone who has seen “anything suspicious” in the parking lot of the YMCA or the library over the course of the past couple of days to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or the sheriff’s office at 757-890-3621 and reference case no. 2001288.
