Campaign money

What if all the money raised for all the candidates (whoever is running) was donated to first responders, anyone losing his or her job, and anyone needing financial support? The candidates could therefore stop all the TV ads (who watches anyway) and all the direct mail ads that are trashed (which will save a lot of trees). We already know what the candidates are proposing or not proposing — so let’s save all these contributions for something to help the American citizens who really need it. And, besides all this, the blame game has to stop on both sides.
