- By Kimberly Pierceall

SUFFOLK — The J.M. Smucker Co., maker of jams and jellies but also brands of coffee including Folgers and Café Bustelo made in Suffolk, has redesigned its logo for the first time in more than 30 years.

The Ohio company announced a new brand identity Wednesday saying the move was made because it had shifted away from being primarily focused on jams and jellies to now also selling coffee, pet food, peanut butter and snacks. In its announcement, the company said the new, more abstract logo paid homage to the company’s origins, “while reflecting its growth ambitions.”

Signs with the new logo are expected to be updated

at the company’s Suffolk facility.
