All deaths Socialism
As we mourn and grieve the 500,000plus people in the U.S. who died this past year from COVID-19, we should also remember those who passed away in 2020 from other illnesses and diseases.
In 2020, about 2.9 million lives may have been lost to something other than COVID-19. Other causes of death in the U.S. include diabetes, heart disease, cancer, murder, suicide, Alzheimer’s disease, etc.
For 2020, about 1.8 million people were expected to be diagnosed with cancer. About 600,000 deaths from cancer were anticipated that year. That is about 4,930 new cases and more than 1,600 deaths each day. Every life is sacred and should be remembered regardless as to how you leave this earthly life.

During the presidential election and various state elections, “socialism” was frequently used as a scare tactic. If you let them win, the country will become socialist.
It will be unrecognizable, and the values we cherish will be gone. Shouldn’t our country have shared values that benefit the common good as well as assisting those who are in the most unfortunate of circumstances?
Is a national campaign to vaccinate our citizens an example of socialism? Now we have a growing crises in Texas and other states. Those poor individuals deserve our compassion as well as the resources of our government. Is that socialism? Some of the same people who bought into the misinformation that helping the poor and neglected is socialist, now need and deserve our help.
