N.C. State 65, Texas Southern 57: Lake Taylor High graduate Dereon Seabron picked up his fourth double-double in five games and scored eight of nine points in a late breakaway run for the Wolfpack in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Seabron grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 13 of his 21 points in the second half, draining a 3-pointer that pulled N.C. State (4-1) into a 37-37 tie with 16:32 to play. Seabron scored on a fast break to knot the score again, 41-41, and Cam Hayes scored the next three points as the Wolfpack took the lead for good.

Arizona 80, No. 4 Michigan 62:

Christian Koloko had 22 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in leading Arizona at the Main Event tournament in Las Vegas. Arizona has rolled so far under new coach Tommy Lloyd, looking a bit like the Gonzaga program he help build as an assistant coach.

No. 22 St. Bonaventur­e 70, Marquette 54:

Jaren Holmes had 19 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, Osun Osunniyi added 16 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks, and the Bonnies won the eight-team Charleston Classic in South Carolina.

WOMEN

VCU 71, Old Dominion 48:

The Monarchs (2-2) shot 37.3% from the floor and 0 of 12 from 3-point range in a loss at Siegel Center to the Rams (2-1), the reigning Atlantic 10 champions.

VCU’s Chloe Bloom had 14 points and had six rebounds. ODU’s Ajah Wayne had 13 points, while Amari Young had 10.

ODU’s starting point guard, Mariah Adams, missed the game for personal reasons. She is expected to rejoin the Monarchs before the Van Chancellor Classic, which runs Friday through Sunday in Katy, Texas.
