Gayle Robinson Rosser

Gayle Robinson Rosser, 79, went home to be with Jesus unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Gayle dedicated her life to her husband, raising her children and spending time with her many close friends. She took so much

joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a true matriarch of her family. Gayle was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she enjoyed serving and singing praises unto the Lord. She loved playing cards and games with her dear friends, visiting with family, painting, arts and crafts. She was well loved and loved well, living a full life. She is already greatly missed.

Gayle was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, W. Rodney Rosser, Sr. Left to cherish her memories are her four children: Dawn R. Carpenter (Cornell), Leonora A. Rosser, Theresa R. McKee (Jonathan), and W. Rodney Rosser, Jr.; three brothers: Pat Robinson (Lee), Johnny

Robinson (Georgia Irby) and Jimmy Robinson. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Wesley (Emma), Jeremy (Elizabeth), Lauren (Kyle), Jacob (Allison), Adam, and Eden (Michael); and nine great-grandchildren: Henry, Theodore, Hudson, Abigail, Titus, Joy, Leonidas, Sabriel, and Amy. Gayle adored her grandchildren, her greatgrandchildren, and her cat, Pumpkin.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 3 to 4 PM at W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home.

Gayle's Celebration of Life is on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 1 PM at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor David Teem officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to American Cancer Society or Immanuel Baptist Church of Newport News.
