Ross lifts O. Lakes girls to OT soccer win

KaBria Ross scored the overtime winner on Emily Box’s assist as No. 12 Ocean Lakes clipped Princess Anne 3-2 on Tuesday in girls soccer.

Sierra Clark and Ellie KainKuznie­wski also scored for the Dolphins (3-3-2).

Isabella Cobos scored in each half for Princess Anne (5-3-0).

First Colonial wins top-15 softball clash

Riley Nichols threw out Kelsey Freeman from right field, with Leigh Hooper making the tag in the sixth inning, to deny the game-tying run and No. 15 First Colonial edged No. 9 Tallwood 2-1.

Kailey Jackson (5-2) had six strikeouts and allowed three hits for the Patriots.

Baseball

Harrison Didawick went 4 for 4 with four RBIs and two runs as No. 5 Western Branch topped No. 14 Hickory 7-3.

Ayden Kent delivered a walkoff two-run single to cap a fiverun seventh inning and Green Run stunned Princess Anne 5-4. Devin Bowden pitched five no-hit innings and three players stole at least two bases for the Stallions.

Connor Gray and Jack Pearman combined for five hits and seven RBIs as Kempsville beat Bayside 12-1.

Softball

Tegan Gabrielse struck out eight in her ninth win of the season as No. 1 Hickory beat No. 6 Western Branch 4-1. Kassidy Hudson, Sandy Emery and Courtney Hughes drove in runs while Emma Eckhart and Ashley Beamon had two hits apiece.

Mika Hilburger was 5 for 5 with a home run, delivering the winning RBI as Tabb edged Warhill 5-4 in nine innings. Lola Good scored the winning run.

Aniyah Michalak went 3 for 4 with three RBIs as Green Run beat Princess Anne 7-4.

Kristen Revere went 3 for 4 with a triple and two singles as Kecoughtan beat Bethel 11-1.

Boys lacrosse

Eli Altmeyer netted 11 goals as Cape Henry beat Norfolk Christian 19-6 in the Tidewater Conference. Jack Tanner Vigil had 11 saves.

Boys soccer

Will Jennings scored unassisted with one minute remaining in regulation and No. 3 Princess Anne beat No. 14 Ocean Lakes 1-0.

Evan Rinkus and Shane Tandy each had two first-half goals and Gavin Page had four assists as No. 8 Hickory beat Western Branch 4-0. RJ Mackey recorded the shutout.

Soumaila Camara scored two goals as Green Run rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat Salem 3-1. Kaleb Masciola also scored for the Stallions.

Carson Stretz, Hunter Roche and Hamilton Howes scored as Kellam blanked Bayside 3-0. Brady Wise tallied two assists.

Girls soccer

Ruby Garrison scored two goals and assisted on a third as No. 15 Norfolk Academy beat No. 8 Catholic 6-1 to take over first place in the Tidewater Conference.

Malia Kincaid and Kendall Carr had two goals apiece in No. 11 Nansemond River’s 5-1 win over Indian River.

Samantha Broady scored twice, Clara Riggs made 14 saves and Walsingham beat Hampton Roads Academy 4-3.
