Winnifred Hall (86) passed away peacefully September 10th, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. Winnifred who was also known as Winnie or “Mimi” grew up in Warrenton, NC serving as an RN for 20 years.

At age 18 Winnie met and married Louie Hall, whom she was married to for 67 years. The couple moved to Poquoson, VA raising their 3 children, moving to Yorktown, VA, and ultimately resided in Gloucester, VA for the remaining years of their lives.

To Mimi, family was everything! She looked forward to holidays or simple visits by her loved ones. Mimi was so very loved that others may have mistaken her as a celebrity when it came to her family. With the grandkids often arguing over who was going to sit by her at family gatherings or who was her “favorite”. She was the staple of the family and will be greatly missed.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and Daniel, husband, Louie Hall, sisters Josephine, Mary Alice, Dorthy and brothers Pete and Gene.

Left to cherish all of her memories, she is survived by her three children, daughters Cheryl Shipley(Robert Earl), LuAnn Lewis(Mike) and her beloved son Louie “Chip” Hall. Her Sister Judy Johnson. Six Grandchild­ren Joshua Milton (Michaele), Skyler Inge, Dillon Pratt, Justin Pratt, J.P. Mancini and Tara Blake Stevens(Brandon),and 10 great grandchild­ren, who she loved dearly.

A service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday September 14 at Andrews Funeral Home in Gloucester, VA and the family asks all who knew and adored Winnie to attend. Following service, per her wishes, visitation will be held at Blaylock Funeral Home in Warrenton, North Carolina on Monday September 18 at 1:00pm-2:00pm. Burial immediatel­y following at Fairview cemetery in Warrenton, North Carolina.
