Patricia Margot Morris
Patricia discovered her professional passion when she joined an ophthalmic practice in 1992.
Patricia served in leadership roles with solo practices, multi-location practices, multi-specialty groups, hospital-based groups, and high-volume refractive centers. She was extremely selfmotivated, assertive, and qualified to inspire, coach, direct, and manage people. Her diplomatic approach cultivated relationships, inspired goodwill, and encouraged collaboration which achieved sustainable transformation in most settings.
Patricia has published multiple articles, spoken at numerous conferences, and assisted a variety of practices. She made many life-long colleagues and friends along the way.
She was an Editorial Board Member for the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) where she worked with the editorial management team in preparing each year’s editorial calendar. She served as a resource for finding subject matter experts to serve as authors or sources for articles. Pat reviewed and evaluated articles that were being considered for the AE Editor’s Choice Award and/or other editorial business as requested.
Patricia was also Co-Founder & Chief Operations Officer for the American College of Eye Technicians (ACET) which focuses on recruitment of new talent into the field of ophthalmic assisting. She was also the founder of Talent in Eye Care for Collaborative Achievement (TECA) which placed entry-level qualified technicians into eye care practices across the county.
Pat was a valuable member of the Board of Directors for Ophthalmic World Leaders (OWL). Patricia Margot Morris changed the lives of everyone she met with her love, joy, and giving nature.
