Onelife Fitness opened in the former Farm Fresh supermarket spot in Coliseum Marketplace in Hampton and will host a public open house Monday.

Similar to other locations, the 60,000-square-foot gym features a large indoor saltwater lap pool and whirlpool, over $1 million in cardio and strength equipment, Olympic lifting platforms, large athletic turf training areas, a stadium-style bike studio for spin classes, a cinema studio for cardio workouts, a boxing studio, a recovery studio with massage and other therapies, a yoga and barre studio and four studios featuring signature classes, including Les Mills programs, Zumba, high intensity interval training and more.

The open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at 2190 Coliseum Drive will feature food, DJ music, a photo booth and fitness demonstrations. “Our Hampton project was the perfect opportunity to further invest in the economic development of the area and deliver another world-class fitness facility,” Onelife Fitness President Ori Gorfine said in an announcement. “We are incredibly excited to continue expanding our footprint.”

The center opened March 26 and is the first Onelife to open in Hampton and the ninth in Hampton Roads. Brothers Kirk and John Galiani started the Onelife brand in 2009 after getting underway in the region with a Gold’s Gym franchise in the Princess Anne area of Virginia Beach in 2002. That location also was a former Farm Fresh store, according to previous reporting.

Onelife Fitness, operated by US Fitness Holdings, has expanded to more than 50 locations through Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
