BEST BET: RACE 6, FLYING TO HONOR

FIRST RACE

HAWK ran well in turf bow off a significant layoff, hanging late like a horse who might have been in need of the race. Also-ran Kabang exited this contest to beat similar including AQUA TEEN in his next start. The latter has proven competitive in both starts since dropping to this level, should trip out nicely from the rail. ROL AGAIN QUESTION in dangerous hands off the claim, was second best after getting hung wide behind 41-1 winner here last month. Expecting cleaner sailing with Paco taking the call.

SECOND RACE

More questions to answer in this one than on Jeopardy(or should that be the other way around?). MORE APPLAUSE the biggest of them all plunging to this level after clipping heels, losing rider in latest. Sheds blinkers, worked well enough from the gate last week to get tepid nod. STABLEFORD continues to knock on the door with this kind if tossing brutal effort two back when victim of a pretty brutal trip. Lures Saez for today’s assignment. ALL ABOUT DIVA a question switching barns since last, must avoid potential duel with Little Awesome.

THIRD RACE

COWTOWN SPIRIT eased off the early leaders from inside, went evenly thereafter while facing tougher bunch than she faces here. Switches to new jock, should trip out well stalking the inside speed. KENTUCKY DANCER finished third, beaten a neck for second, by red hot Dancing Wind who won 3rd straight besting starter rivals here Wednesday. Third off layoff could be key. FULFILLED FANTASY comes off wire to wire win vs. much weaker, figures to be stalked by preferred one from the outset.

FOURTH RACE

STORMIN MACLEAN debuts off series off promising looking drills over PM main but has enough grass breeding to suggest he coiuld be dangerous debuting at 5F’s with this crowd. Looks like a quick one. BIG HANDSOME has shown speed against solid company in two of three previous starts on the main. Finsihed behind well backed Gotham runner-up Cloud Computing in latest, the last place finisher from that event winning his maiden by 4 widening lengths in his subsequent start. Sire suggests turf shokuld not be an issue. LITTLE CHESNEY by City Zip and kin to a trio of turf winners. Might have a say here.

FIFTH RACE

SIR HANNOUN much improved of late, well posted inside at the distance and with plenty of two turn experience under his belt. May be just a question of whether inexperienced bug boy can work out the right trip. MAGNANIMOUS MINE no match for top one in their previous encounter but has the speed to lead these a merry chase if hustled along from his outside post. REMARKABLE TALE in new hands off the claim. Broke slow, faded badly in most recent try and a question mark around two turns.

SIXTH RACE

FLYING TO HONOR, the day’s best, flashed speed in an extremely well graded MSW dash launching career earlier this winter now plunges to a much weaker spot while shedding shades for the occa-

sion. Worked bullet for this. KINGHOOD second best behind Flemish Cap who did finish second against $50 starter company earlier this meet. Has worke dsteadily for his return. CHICHIMAE finished behind trio of next out winners in only previous start but with a limited work tasb since that outing.

SEVENTH RACE

HE’S COTTON caught much tougher bunch for same tag here last month than he’ll encounter today, holding own that day after getting bumped at the start. Should sit the trip stalking the inside speed in this spot. GRAND NENE back in familiar hands off the claim after doing well to finish 3rd despite unlucky trip in latest. Javier stays. Expecting much improvement. PICADILLY ROADSTER tripped out nicely to defeat Nene in their previous encounter, , must respect wheeling right back with same kind.

EIGHTH RACE

QUIET FORCE has switched barns since last start when taken back to last, never getting into the running on turn back to a mile. Beat this same kind a couple of times both here and at GPW last season. Should benefit from what figures to be a very honest pace. CLASS AND CASH got big Fig after getting loose on the lead in a race in which teletimer clearly malfunction and one must be a bit skeptical about final time and Beyer Fig. That said, this one in top form at the moment and capable of rating and winning off as he did last summer at Parx. AIRE BUENO rarely runs a poor one with this kind but winless since August. Must respect enough to put in the number with any kind of trip.

NINTH RACE

STELLA PERFORMANCE ran well debuting on the lawn behind next out Turfway Park SW Delphinia despite a bit of a tough trip, has been idle since but seems to be working well for return. Might get barn back on winning track with expected improvement. LOVE AND LEMONS ran well enough over this surface both here and at the Spa to loom one to beat with a better trip than he encountered trying artificial surface at OBS. INSPIRED VOW perhaps best of the new faces in the lineup. Fetched $220K at the sales, has had plenty of miles under her belt both on turf and dirt preparing for bow.

TENTH RACE

DEFER HEAVEN looks loose on the lead as easy as he pleases in here if relatively inexperienced rider can get him out of the gate to take up shop on the front end. Shouldn’t look back if he leaves with others. RAVELO’S BOY hard to fault in present form, was easily seconed best when taking bit class hike last time although remains winless in a half dozen tries at this distance. CRAZY FRANK

C victim of a brutal triip in latest, iin new hands off the claim but 10 of 17 first or second at 7/8’s. Might grab minor share at a little price.

ELEVENTH RACE

ABG MOSTRO got shuffled early in traffic, showed some late run behind loose on the lead Durocher while continuing to improve. Lures new rider for assignment, taken to spring mild upset over likely choice CAMPAIGNER’S GOLD. The latter has paired Beyer tops in last two outings despite less than clean runs, looks strictly the one to fear with Saez taking a return call. DANDY LUIS a bit of a question on stretch around two turns off horrid bow but has some speed, might get brave at big balloons if able to clear off ealry with one under his belt.
