BEST BET: RACE 2, HEAD FOR THE HILLS

FIRST RACE

Thinking one of the new faces might come out on top in this relatively weak looking maiden claimer with HE’S A LEADER and LITTLE DOUBT certainly the most forwardly prepared of the three first timers in the lineup. Will let the tote board be our guide here. SEMINOLE CHARLIE showed speed at the MSW level in his only start and certainly logical on the drop for a tag.

SECOND RACE

HEAD FOR THE HILLS, the day’s best, showed big speed winning her career bow on the grass at Penn Nat., the 4th finisher from the race Lines of Music recently coming out 2nd best in an MSW turf dash in Md. with a 71 Beyer. Working bullets for new connections for local bow. ETERNAL TEMPEST ran well enough in her latest turf appearance despite a poor start to suggest she may be the one to beat. HOLTERS GIRL comes off career best breaking maiden dropping to the bottom here last month and another with some decent a.m. trials on her resume’ since the outing. Should fit nicely with these.

THIRD RACE

MARILYN LONHRO has yet to run back to promising career bow this past winter but getting additional class relief, looks like the controling speed and perhaps capable of controlling this one from start to finish at a little price. HOLIDAY MOVIE appears to have faced a bit better in all recent tries on the west coast, looks like a good fit making local debut. Was easily second best behind even money winner two back at SA. OSCURA the victim of a brutal trip last time but has made some inroads vs. this kind and repeat of either her 4/19 or 3/10 tries might have her in the thick of this one at the end.

FOURTH RACE

MILL HILL PLACE cruised to easy win in lone turf try now returns to the grass after being overmatched over wet track here 3 weeks earlier. Could stand some catching if able to outsprint ZEUS ODIN to the lead. GRAPHITE STRIKE claimed back by Gracida barn off another solid effort with this same kind. Late running sort winless for quite some time but knocking on the door with the right trip. ZEUS ODIN another coming off a couple of near misses in this category and with the speed to be on or with pace throughout from the rail.

FIFTH RACE

LAST LIGHTNING appears to have come out of incident in his last start well with a couple of decent looking works on the resume’ subsequent to that try. He’s also a first time gelding and well spotted to earn elusive diploma if able to repeat that effort behind recent maiden $12,500 winner Chasing the Dream on 4/20. GRAND VENEZUELAN in new hands, puts blinkers back on, figures to take this field a long way on the front end. Worth a look at the price. BO BO’S ON FIRE and Hopetown no match for the 1/2 Chasing the Dream on 6/10 but obviously key players if able to repeat those efforts wheeling back on relatively short rest.

SIXTH RACE

TIZAGOLDENROCKET the logical choice in this weak maiden claimer although a question mark having been idle, and showing no published works at press time, since coming out second best behind Pletcher trained, 6-5 Lunch Break seven weeks ago. With that in mind FRENCH ACCENT demands plenty of respect debuting at this level for potent J/T combo. Looks very live and a possible upset threat in this spot. TIZAGOLDENROCKET the one to beat. FANTASTIC KITTEN in new hands, drops a notch, figures forwardly place throughout.

SEVENTH RACE

CHISELED an 11 time winner who has changed barns since last but well spotted at the same level he’s produced a win and a second place effort behind Tough Customer(who ran a career best 90 Beyer that day) in his last two starts. Defeated recent turf SW Mystic Sky two back. PRINCE TITO a lightly raced but improving sort who is eligible

to move forward off relatively easy maiden win.

GRAY BEAU a 5 time winner who held own with perhaps better at Tampa and with a bullet work since last try. Veteran demands respect here. Majesto obviously a major question mark returning off extended layoff with less than a handful of works on his resume’.

EIGHTH RACE

Looks like two horse race for major prize between recent nemesis’ LINDA MI MI and CONCEALED WITH A KISS with former likely to offer the best value of the pair. Reunites with Tyler after defeating chief rival for 2nd money, this distance, two back. TORMENTA DE ORO no match for top two lst time but has been freshened and as usual looking good in the a.m. in preparation for return.

NINTH RACE

Lots of contenders in finale with trip likely deciding the outcome. Tossing WINE LIST’s last after a slow start put him in tough position near rear of pack from the outset. May ultimately prove one to catch if away running today. AXTELL hasn’t had clean runs in each of his last two tries but proved mettle over this course with a pair of wins against softer earlier in the spring. BLACKJACK BABY an improving sort who demands respect despite the hike to this company.
