BEST BET: RACE 3, SOCIAL ROY

FIRST RACE

ZHUKOV in career best form since being haltered by current connections, turns back to a distance he’s handled in the past. Can run down the speed if kept within hailing distance early on. BERMUDA TRIANGLE broke slow, ducked out sharply in early stretch proved best of the rest behind in form winner under similar conditions in his last. May prove one to fear with cleaner sailing with Cornelio V. on the job. GRAND JR showed improved speed, turned in arbuably his best yet with the addition of blinkers last time but stepping up against N3L’s for the first time here.

SECOND RACE

SWEET ABDICATION gets some much needed class relief dropping to the bottom after turning in even try for twice the tag four weeks earlier. Showed enough on the main on a couple of earlier occasions to get tepid nod with these. PLANET ROCK an obvious factor off top pair but a question mark having been idle more than two months and showing no published works in the interim at post time. ADIOS CHIC has filled out the tri in each of her last three tries vs. similar but remains winless in 22 tries. Can grab a minor share again.

THIRD RACE

SOCIAL ROY, the day’s best, in dangerous hands off the claim and looks like speed of the speed if on “go” from the outset on rail. Can return quick dividends for good connections. TRIUMPHANT JOY back to more suitable spot after being overmatched in last. Previous try makes him the one to beat for sure. KING RONTOS steps up off impressive win albeit over a wet track at a mile. Must not bounce making second start following extended vacation.

FOURTH RACE

NAPA VALLEY ROSE an improved sort who looks like she should benefit from what figures to be an honest pace scenario if this one goes accoring to form. Ran well despite some early trouble going a furlong further in last. Should come running late along with CAPRIASCA who comes off the bench against cheapest bunch yet while shortening up and going turf to dirt for good J/T connections. LOVING VALENTINA easily defeated same kind last out and the only 5 time winner in the field but likely facing an early tussle for the lead once again.

FIFTH RACE

TOMOE and SHE’S NO JOKE a couple of new faces for top barns debuting in a weak spot. Former posted near bullet gate move on 6/16 at GPW while latter comes off what appears to be her best work yet. CHASING MAGIC gets Lasix off decent debut run, woke up a bit in the a.m. as well with a race under her belt. Very logical as the only experienced member of the lot.

SIXTH RACE

DOPO LAVORO ran a bang up second behind Kiaran McLaughlin trained Dr Corday earlier in the session and came back to pair top Beyers in his next start vs. open company. Knocking on the door with expected forward move. SECONDS OVER TOKYO ran well at first asking in a race he likely needed, could prove one to fear with expected improvement. BLIND RUCKUS has 7 seconds in 15 tries yet still without a win, figures on the pace throughout along with I’m the Candyman.

SEVENTH RACE

THAT’S A MYTH stays put off the claim when off slow from the rail, fading late vs. similar on 6/15. Deserves a mulligan as lone 3 time winner in field if able to repeat either of her two previous tries. FROM RIA TO RICHES a big question mark taking
