BEST BET: RACE 10, JEREMIAH JEWEL

FIRST RACE

IN TACTUS returns to the scene of a promising maiden win and returning to more suitable company after being over-matched while also encountering trouble across town. Should have plenty of pace to run at in here. TWO TIMING GIRL has been freshened since popular maiden win, liked her last gate blow out, may ultimately prove one to beat. SIMULADORA the bests late runner in the field, should prove beneficiary with Indian Myth and Queen Fantabulous likely to cut things out up front.

SECOND RACE

APPA returns to his favorite course, drops a notch, can be along with a little help up front and leading jock taking call. PERFORMANCE BONUS the logical choice on the drop for top barn but has been a beaten favorite in each of his last three starts up north. ANIMAL TRICK should be loose on the lead if more aggressively handled than in GPW finale. Can wake up at a bit of a price if able to relax long enough on front end.

THIRD RACE

COWBOY’S HERO a question mark off the recent layoff but has beaten and held own with much better than he encounters returning locally. Working bullets for this. ROCK AND FELLERS could not stay seven eighths second off the layoff several weeks earlier now turns back, could be legged up for winning tray making thired start of current form cycle. BARRY KARAFIN BETS re-unites with Saez, dangerous here if able to run back to any of his better efforts from earlier last season.

FOURTH RACE

LNG TERM RELATIONSHP back for a tag, looks quick enough to clear off and lead these a merry chase if aggressively handled from the outset. CATCH ALL tries selling company for the first time after being over-matched in local main track bow. MR. NAVAS turned in credible debut and switches to hot jock for local and selling bow.

FIFTH RACE

There’s some rain in the forecast which could bode well for SOUTH OF THE SHORE who looks to hold a nice edge here if drawing in due to a surface switch. Ran credibly in only previous start behind wire to wire winner Fly So High, who Beyered 86 for the easy win. Not likely facing any such rival today if he goes. SWEET STING capable of improving off much needed bow. Has shown speed in recent a.m. drills which could serve her well in relatively pace less affair. MIRACULOUSLY was hung wide, proved second best behind debut winner who earned high marks dominating first race of the new meet. Continues to train well. On the upswing now. Kathy’s Clown comes off best yet and getting big jockey switch although late running sort at the mercy of the pace.

SIXTH RACE

CREATIVE TALENT drops below level at which she registered easy N2L win and with enough speed from the rail to control this one from start to finish under Ortiz. MISS CONTESSA may have best shot of springing the upset if preferred one falters having held own in this category in all three recent starts. SARAH THE QUEEN BEE finished second vs. same kind here late this summer and getting favorable rider switch today.

SEVENTH RACE

SLOT caught late by Derby hopeful and G2 runnerup Tiz Mischief in 2yo finale. Should not look back in 3yo bow. SIR SAHIB continues to improve with added distance, can be along if top one falters. LOCOMOTION hard to fault off top pair. Encountered traffic issues, had to check a couple

of times in late stretch behind odds on Pletcher runner Navistar in local bow. Major player with cleaner sailing here.

EIGHTH RACE

TWO STEP BLUES could not match strides late with in form Sober on Sunday in latest, the latter winning for the third time in four starts that day. Seems to be facing a notch softer returning locally for high percentage barn. O. K. KAY missed a neck behind slow breaking Warranty returning to S. Fla off a bit of a freshening, lures Ortiz, logical with repeat of last. BIG DARLING finished well despite wide trip under similar conditions three weeks earlier. As good as any of the others.

NINTH RACE

GREAT RHYTHM quickest of the bunch if breaking clean, taken to show her heels throughout. UNO DUDE drops to weakest level yet, has never run back to maiden $50K win but capable of waking up with this group. STORM BEAM a question mark trying dirt for the first time but worked well enough here on 12/16 to merit consideration.

TENTH RACE

JEREMIAH JEWEL, the day’s best, drops another notch while returning to what appears to be her preferred surface off a couple of eventful trips in KY to close out 3yo season. Need only repeat earlier infield tries to graduate in finale. ELASTICITY ran credibly sprinting in her bow and getting a good deal of class relief for stretch around two turns for high percentage barn. RUN BLONDIE RUN logical off near miss vs. better one month earlier. Dons shades for occasion. Jackenzie Capri a hanging sort, probably best in last and getting huge rider switch from bug boy to meet’s leading jock.
