NORTHWEST FACTOR is heading the right way. She dueled and stayed on gamely to beat a number of these in the Angie C here July 15. In fact, she edged AIKMAN JULIET who ran second. (3)

Race 7

TOP QUALITY looks like a solid ‘A’ as she just whipped some of these in the Boeing, looking as good as ever. REGINELLA dueled and ran second to the top pick in the Boeing but her speed can get her a headstart and first run on that rival. (2)

Race 8

CONQUEST WINDYCITY showed quality back East earlier this year and after a so-so turf run at Canterbury may appreciate returning to dirt. BARKLEY couldn’t get to Riser when second in the Mt. Rainier here July 15, but Riser is the best horse on the grounds. This guy finished far clear of the others and he’s won at this trip. It doesn’t hurt Riser isn’t here. ALERT BAY, fourth in this last year, can certainly win this on his best day but this marks his first start in over 13 months so he must overcome a long layoff. He’s worked well for this, is proven fresh and is sent out by a trainer who can get them ready off a layoff. (3)
