Race 7

DREAMS ARE FREE stalked the pace in a sprint here Aug. 1, her first start in almost three months, and stayed on well for second. LISA’S ESCARPMENT ran on nicely to be second in a tough optional claimer at this trip here Aug. 12. ALICE’S WAR was no factor on turf here Sept. 2 but returns to the main track. Note she was a good second in a race like this here in her prior start July 27. (3)

Race 8

OSCAR PERFORMANCE had a disastrous Arlington Million as he was pulled up in the stretch after his rider felt he took a bad step. The good news, though, is he’s received an ‘all clear’ healthwise and it’s a great sign they wheel him back here. Should he not be 100 percent DELTA PRINCE could take advantage. He was smashing winning a Grade 2 on this course earlier this year. (2)

Race 9

Trainer Chad Brown holds two aces here with INFLEXIBILITY and NEW MONEY HONEY. The former chased the pace and stayed on well to be a good fifth in the Grade 1 Beverly D and prior to that was a sharp second in the Grade 2 Dance Smartly here, while the latter comes off a better-than-looked sixth in a Grade 1 Saratoga July 21. DARING DUCHESS looked super winning a stakes here Aug. 11. (3)

Race 10

PINK LLOYD has been the best horse on the grounds the past couple seasons and there’s no way to knock him. That said, YORKTON and KINGSPORT have run well against him before. YORKTON comes off a solid second to ‘LLOYD in a stakes here July 29. He has the speed to be in it from the start and has worked strongly. KINGSPORT has defeated ‘LLOYD sprinting here so he’s got the necessary ammo. (3)

Race 11

HAWKBILL won a Group 1 in Dubai in March and then faced Europe’s best in three more Group 1s this spring/summer. He doesn’t face that type here. JOHNNY BEAR hasn’t been as sharp since winning this last year but he’s perked up of late. (2)
