FIRST RACE

MISSION DRIVEN beat this same kind last time running down loose on the lead Street Code and should get an even better pace set up today if Squadron and Day of Reckoning go. FLYOFF strictly one to beat on paper but a bit suspicious of the sudden drop for this tag off career best effort, beating a good one in Illudere, in N Y finale while noting Irad runs to Squadron today. Perhaps vulnerable at what figures to be a pretty short price. NEOCLASSIC lost all chance after checking back at the start, finishing out mid-track when dropped to this level for first time in ‘19 bow. In good hands off the claim. Might wake up at a little price today.

SECOND RACE

KAYLIE’S GIRL hard used on the front end, faded late last time but in dangerous hands off the claim. Must avoid similar early fate with nemesis TUESDAY’S ROSE the chief foe again today. Latter withstood torrid pace duel before succumbing grudgingly last time and obviously the one to beat if not knocking heads with K G again today. GLOTONASA may have the best late kick if the top pair falter late.

THIRD RACE

TOO MUCH TIP a bit of a hanging sort but cycling back to good form again and far and away with the most wins of any in this group on her resume’. Could get back on winning track today. R NEXT ROLL tagged for the first time since last spring and exiting a key race when hard used on the lead much of the way. Strictly one to fear. EVITA CAPITANA a bit of a question mark on the drop and returning to dirt. Could prove sleeper of this bunch.

FOURTH RACE

SWAP MEET a new face to what looks like a relatively weak spot for this tag. Mare has thrown plenty of winner’s with big question mark a pretty spotty work tab. Barn can get job down off bench. Watch board for further clues. HOW Put a line right through HOW SWEEP IT IS’s last start after an unlucky start although she still did well to run fourth with this same kind. Ortiz stays. Best puts her right in the picture. WARRIOR EMPRESS another fresh one who has shown some gas in the a.m. although J/T both looking for first win of season.

FIFTH RACE

BOX OF GOLD overmatched in both previous starts off the claim although was not disgraced in either stakes try. Back where she best belongs today. SAMIS CAR another getting ample class relief, figures forwardly placed throughout. ZAO’S DREAMS poorly posted in the Andromeda, did beat more than half her field and another who gets a break dropping for this tag.

SIXTH RACE

DAY BY DAY Hard used contesting pace, still held on to defeat rival on a three race win streak at the time. Steps up a notch off the claim but can handle hike with similar effort. Hard to pick against anything out of Jason Servis barn these days and MYBIGITALIANFRIEND may be no exception although she will be stepping well up in company

exiting state bred allowance win against more seasoned rivals here. Just taking a shot against the likely chalk. MO TOWN KAT moves to another barn that excels off the claim, must respect if moving forward as expected for new connections.

SEVENTH RACE

VINCERO hard used contesting pace with red hot Fortune Cookie from start to finish when dropping tough decision last time, doesn’t appear to be facing that kind today. Lures Irad. Should make amends. EMPIRE POWER and BE GONE DADDY over-matched in well graded N1X dash on 1/19, finds a more suitable spot here. Expecting much better on the subtle class drop.

EIGHTH RACE

OAK BLUFFS ran huge in the Claiming Crown, disappointed last time, but old pro loves this course and with a little help from his friends early on might just be able to run down the speedy PAY ANY PRICE if firing best shot today. The latter strictly one to beat returning to starter allowance company for first time since the spring but perhaps not quite as sharp now as then and facing prospect of early pace pressure from Don’t Be Salty and Gran Malbec. BUSHROD continues to hold form well although a bit of a hanging sort of late. Should come running if this one heats up early.

NINTH RACE

AM PREPARED made a little middle move following slow start, wasn’t disgraced launching career vs. bottom level maiden sellers. Changed barn via claim box but could handle the slight class hike if moving forward as expected with one under his belt. CERRADO plunges to weakest level yet after turning in credible try vs. state breds in local bow. HILLSDOWN continues to improve but catches killer post today.

TENTH RACE

KELLY TOUGH ran huge in defeat last time behind Summer Spice who returned to finish third, beaten just a length, against open $6,250 claimers at next asking. Not facing that kind here. Just a question of whether he can repeat that effort for this J/T combo. KID MAC COOL stretch out off series of shorter races, looks like key speed, might get brave at a price if able to get loose on front end. HIGH FLYING GUY a disappointment as public’s choice in last pair. Gets new pilot, might make amends with a trip.

ELEVENTH RACE

Hard to ignore the effort MILES OF HUMOR put forth in N Y finale when finishing behind trio of next out, $62,500 N2X allowance winners all of whom Beyered between 89-92 in process. Not facing anything of that sort returning locally. Gets tep nod if able to repeat or come close to repeating that last effort off the 3 month freshening. BLACK SEA ran well behind loose on the lead, G3 placed Abiding Star here last month, could prove best alternative if top choice needs one off bench. JOJO’S DREAM training well for return and drop back to selling ranks. Loves course but will have to overcome tough post if drawing in off the AE list.

TWELFTH RACE

ROYAL FAMILY, the day’s best, fetched a big price at the yearling sales, shows up for $20K to launch career, an obvious red flag right there although has not missed a beat in a.m., shown enough to merit call vs. this field. TRACY WITH A Y drops another notch while returning to what appears his preferred surface. One to beat if able to work out a trip from extreme outside. CAPPY HOUR stretches out, tries turf. Doesn’t have much breeding for going but has the speed to be dangerous if able to relax long enough on lead in finale.
