Jerome Corsi sues Roger Stone for defama­tion

Con­ser­va­tive au­thor Jerome Corsi last week sued his for­mer close as­so­ciate Roger Stone for defama­tion, claim­ing he tried to in­flict dis­tress and cause heart at­tacks to stop him from tes­ti­fy­ing in Stone’s trial. Corsi is seek­ing $25 mil­lion in dam­ages and al­leges that Stone has made false state­ments to dis­tance him­self from claims that they had prior knowl­edge that Wik­iLeaks would re­lease emails that dam­aged Hil­lary Clin­ton’s pres­i­den­tial cam­paign in 2016.

Os­car-nom­i­nated ac­tor Fin­ney dies at 82

Os­car-nom­i­nated Bri­tish ac­tor Al­bert Fin­ney has died at age 82. The ac­tor’s fam­ily con­firmed Fin­ney’s death on Fri­day morn­ing, say­ing he “passed away peace­fully af­ter a short ill­ness with those clos­est to him by his side.” Fin­ney re­ceived his first Os­car nom­i­na­tion for the 1963 film “Tom Jones” and sub­se­quently was nom­i­nated for his roles in “Mur­der on the Ori­ent Ex­press,” ‘’The Dresser,” ‘’Un­der the Vol­cano,” and “Erin Brock­ovich.”
